Received as a gift. At first it was a bit tricky, but once I got the hang of it,it works like a charm. (Got to let gravity and momentum help with the pull).
It helps prevent the tangles that tend to happen at end of the skein. Works great with "cakes", but it also works with skeins straight out of the wrapper.
